“Flo Ankah’s technique, “body-voice: creative instrument™” is used by the singers of Melodia Women’s Choir in New York City before each rehearsal. By combining movement and voice in her very unique way, she has given us a strong technical basis for promoting vocal health, for enhancing stage presence, and for authentically conveying the meaning of the music.”–Cynthia Powell, conductor
“I enjoyed taking Flo’s group class. It was a nice way to meet new people and learn about her theory. I liked using sound and movement together, in a way that I wouldn’t ordinarily, to experience a new way of experiencing my body. Highly recommended! Thank you!” —April Dolan, painter
“I’m always looking for ways to expand my training. Flo integrates exercises to free the voice in a supported and dynamic manner. Then with it, she combines challenging creative movement work. I walk away from her class feeling strengthened and having discovered a new approach to my instrument. Her enthusiasm, training and adjustments are spot-on.” —Tom Cleary, actor
“Why didn’t anyone come up with this before? It challenges your deepest emotions and sets you free. Amazing!” —David V. Koenig, lawyer
“Flo Ankah uses an exciting and fun way to improve speaking and body language. There was definitely an improvement in the way I project my voice – and that was after my first session. Anyone, even those who consider themselves good speakers, will benefit from this workshop.” —Rod N.
“In Flo Ankah you will find a teacher who deepens your understanding of your own body and voice. Her workshops are a way to keep in touch with the skills of a performer and will simultaneously inspire you to continue exploring your technique. She reminds you not to accept the limitations you put on yourself and to freely explore the potential of your own body.” —Aoife Courtney, actress
